Is this legal?
We provide private investigation and verification services in India, using only lawfully available sources. We are not a law enforcement agency and we do not act under any statutory authority. Enquiries we carry out are private enquiries and are not investigations conducted under law. India does not license private investigators. We do no investigative work outside India, so we do not need a foreign investigator's licence. If a method would be unlawful, we will not use it.
Will it stand up in court?
Findings are documented to an evidential standard. Admissibility is for the court and your lawyers. We do not describe our work as court-admissible evidence. Whether any material may be used in legal proceedings is a matter for the court and for the client's own legal advisers.
I'm not in India — can you help?
Yes, if the person or organisation you are asking about is in India. Investigations conducted in India. Clients worldwide. Indians abroad checking a marriage proposal back home, foreign companies checking an Indian supplier, partner or acquisition, and anyone anywhere who has been defrauded by someone in India are all within this model. If the subject is not in India, we cannot accept the enquiry.
Do you investigate outside India?
No. We carry out investigations in India only. We accept clients from anywhere in the world.
How much does it cost?
We do not price a case we have not read. After a senior reviewer has read your case you receive one written scope and one fixed fee. Nothing starts until you accept in writing.
How quickly will I hear back?
A senior reviewer responds within 24 to 48 working hours, India Standard Time (IST, Asia/Kolkata), Monday to Friday excluding Indian public holidays. If money is at risk right now, contact your bank and report to the police or your national fraud line now. Do not wait for us.
Do you work with the police?
Where a matter should go to the police, we will tell you and help you prepare the complaint. We do not work as police, and we do not claim to.
Will Amit Dubey handle my case personally?
No. Cases are handled by our investigation team across India — professionals working to methods and standards developed by Amit Dubey. Every case is reviewed and assigned to trained investigators operating under a common standard, with senior oversight.
What if I need this for a hiring, tenancy, credit or insurance decision?
Say so on the form. Those cases are flagged for senior review and are not taken forward automatically.
